After a week of sunshine the rain has returned.

All of the young chums and coho’s are moved into their new homes, the chums in the salt water net pins and the coho in the freshwater raceways.
Spring is giving our crew a cold greeting with wind and rain. Our team has been feeding all of the young salmon.

Our crew is working hard shoveling snow making our boardwalks safer for everyone to walk on.
Our crew has just finished ponding the newborn Chum salmon into our saltwater net pins.
Hatchery technicians are working on feeding the young salmon to help them survive the winter.
Our Crew is working on clipping the baby salmon’s adipose fins and tagging them. We are also working on ponding the chums, moving them from the incubators to the salt water net pens.
The Eigil B came this week to help the hatchery release all of the young salmon into Chatham Strait.
